Capturing Your Memories and Turning Your Moments Into Art
It's been a busy last few months and, although I've been uploading photos to galleries for everyone, I've not been very good about keeping up on blogging. So, in and effort to be caught up going into the new year, I'm going to do a few group posts to highlight some of what's been going on here at Whispering Pines Photography lately. To start, here's a weddings round-up highlighting some of my recent wedding work.
Let's start off with some highlights from the Mell-Cammack wedding. I was fortunate enough with this wedding that my husband joined me as a second shooter for the day. There were enough moving pieces with keeping on schedule for the day that the extra camera and photographer were needed! Because we had 2 viewpoints on the wedding, we were able to capture many moments that might have otherwise been missed and were able to capture a more complete story of the day.
Here are a few of the detail shots...
As you may have guessed by now, it was a baseball themed wedding - Braves baseball to be specific. That worked out well, because my husband is a big Braves baseball fan, so I had plenty of props to work with. Here, the baseball caps, bat, and gloves, added a different look to the traditional wedding dress shots.
And here's the full dress ... yes, it's hanging in a tree but all precautions were taken to make sure that the dress stayed clean, including adding a white sheet on the ground. What a perfect mix with the pine trees behind Miranda's parents' house, the dress, and a little bit of baseball thrown into the mix.
I'm not as big of a baseball buff as my husband, but I ended up at the perfect angle of this shot of Miranda's dad, Richard; so that I got a shot that reminds me of the famous "The Babe Bows Out" shot of Babe Ruth. Quite fitting, considering that this is the shot of Richard walking away to sit down after walking Miranda down the aisle.
The first pitch.
Many more moments from the day are available in the Mell-Cammack galleries on my website. I hope that you've enjoyed this highlights preview.
Now, let's see a few of the highlights from the Brown-Tate Wedding.
This was a much smaller wedding, so I shot it by myself. Here, Deedra's main goal was to capture the day while also having a relaxed atmosphere.
Deedra and Ron walked down the aisle together, so their first look took place a few minutes before the wedding in the room where Deedra had been getting ready.
Deedra is a big Bon Jovi fan and had here Bon Jovi pins on her garter so that he was walking down the aisle with her.
The cake didn't make it past packing up to head home unscathed. Apparently, Deedra and Ron's friend who was helping them take stuff home locked her keys in her trunk. As Deedra reached through the backseat (where the seat lays down) to get the keys, she forgot/didn't realize that the top layer of the cake was right there and squished it with the seat. From what I was told, the cake is a little smushed and lacking most of the icing, but is still edible for Deedra and Ron's anniversary. The friend's car had quite a bit of icing on the seats that had to be cleaned, though, lol!
It was a cool and overcast day, so we didn't stay outside very long to get a whole bunch of bridals, but we got a few to take care of what Deedra and Ron needed for looking back on the day.
Thanks for joining me for this wedding round-up! Be sure to check out more of Deedra and Ron's wedding photos on their galleries!
