Capturing Your Memories and Turning Your Moments Into Art
I recently had the pleasure of photographing the Gomer clan and today I am sharing some of those moments with you.
Laurie contacted me a few weeks prior to everyone getting together to see about me coming out to photograph the group. They are all scattered across the country now, so having everyone together is a rare occurrence.
We started off the session with this sweet little guy, who gave me lots of cuddles. I'm not going to spend too much time on him in this post, though, because I get to share with you soon about his session that I did a few days after this one! How fun!
We made sure to get shots of all of the grandkids, both just them as a group and with their grandparents.
Each of the family groups got some time together in front of the camera before Laurie claimed all of the grandkids.
And, of course, the kids with mom and dad.
And with each other!
We had to bring the garden into the session, so the Gomer's requested this pose to mimic the classic shot of a couple with the pitchfork.
The path that always led the back way from their house to their grandparents.
The old barn.
As many of you may know, I am in the midst of a Barns and Rural America project, so this location (at the Gomer family home) was perfect for me.
He hung on for a bit, but Carter fell asleep and napping in Grandma's lap before the session was over. I do believe that this was one of my favorite shots from the session, so it's a perfect one to end on.
